A kaleidoscope of colour and sound

Submotion Orchestra is a seven-piece ensemble blending electronic bass, ambient textures, jazz, and entrancing vocals to create some of the most distinctive electronic music in the UK. Equally at home in the studio and on the festival circuit, the band has received BBC Radio 6 support from Lauren Laverne alongside praise from critics and fans alike.

I led the design of the vinyl and CD artwork for the band’s fourth studio album, with a brief to visually echo the sound of the music. A series of kaleidoscopic concepts were explored, with the final direction reflecting the spectrum of colour referenced in the track titles and the richness of the album’s guest vocalists
